Journey

How to get to the
BLACKFORESTLINE

You can reach the BLACKFORESTLINE by all means of transport. Plan your journey by bus, car, camper van, on foot or by bike and take advantage of the various parking facilities on site.

By bus

The western bridge entrance can be reached by bus line 7215 coming from Todtnau. Get off at the bus stop “Hangloch”.
You can also reach the BLACKFORESTLINE using the entrance to the waterfall by taking bus 7215. Please note that in this case you have to take a short hike with a good 100 metres of altitude difference.
In the surrounding area parking spaces are available for bus groups.. In any case, groups can get off and on the bus at the western bridge entrance.

By camper

Campers can be parked in the normal car parks for shorter time periods. For overnight stays, a parkking area for campers is available in Todtnau at the end of the village in the direction of Feldberg.

By car

Coming by car, you can use the parking spaces next to the visitor centre at the western entrance of the bridge. They are located along the Kurhausstraße in the direction of Todtnauberg. We‘d ask you to use only the marked parking spaces.
If all the parking spaces there are occupied, you can use the parking spaces in Aftersteg at the entrance to the waterfall and combine your visit with a short hike to the bridge. More parking spaces are available in Todtnau and at the Notschrei – from there buses run regularly in the direction of Todtnauberg.

By foot

You can reach the suspension bridge on foot on beautiful hiking trails around the Todtnau waterfall from Todtnauberg, Todtnau and the Notschrei. A premium hiking trail also directly passes the waterfall.

You can find tour suggestions in the Todtnau mountain world.
